Managing VenuePilot Payouts on Stripe
Everything you need to link to your bank and settle finances on your schedule is inside your stripe account
Because VenuePilot is a pass-through platform, you get paid faster. It’s your money, so we never touch it!
All funds from your transactions go directly to your connected Stripe account once they have settled, which usually takes about 3-5 business days.
Since we don't handle your payouts, all settings and management are done directly in Stripe. Curious how it's done, our steps below can get you started, but you may be better served on Stripe's payouts support page
Step 1: Log in to Your Stripe Account
First, access your Stripe dashboard. This is where you'll find all your financial settings and transaction details.
Step 2: Navigate to Payout Settings
In your Stripe account, find and navigate to the payout settings. Here, you have full control over how you receive your money.
Step 3: Set Up Your Payout Schedule
You can either manually initiate a payout to your bank account or set up an automatic deposit schedule to receive your funds at a regular cadence. These payments sync back to VenuePilot reporting automatically so that you have a full set of event and transaction data down to the penny.
If you have additional questions about Stripe settlements, please contact Stripe support directly. VenuePilot does not have the ability to manage your payouts for you. Power to the independents!
What about Tax Reporting?
Since you are the merchant of record for all transactions, Stripe will be the one to provide all necessary tax documents. VenuePilot doesn't manage your settlements, so we won't issue any tax forms.
Using VenuePilot reports to Reconcile your Settlements and Event Finances
For a full breakdown of all transactional details for a single event, including settlement information, you can use the Event Audit or Event Settlement reports under Advanced Reports. Keep in mind that a payment may be pending in the settlement report if it has yet to be paid out by Stripe—for example, an event that happened over the weekend but your payouts are scheduled for Wednesday. Also keep in mind that it takes several days for card transactions to settle, so it's often prudent to wait a couple days for all to settle before making a withdraw.
The Ticket Manifest Report can also serve as a useful report for a single event, providing detailed transaction information.
For real-time reporting, use the Sales by Day report and filter by the dates from the day tickets went on sale until the event date to ensure all transactions are included.
